This is what photography heaven looks like. When Emylee and Kalie inquired with me about their wedding, I knew we would be kindred spirits once I saw they were getting married in Brown County. They're both big nature lovers and wanted to their photos to reflect that. We hid away from the cold at the Garfield Park Conservatory, and the sun came out in the middle of a rainy spring season to give us a little hug. Though engagement session are usually in the evening, we shot in the middle of the day and created our own damnnn sunset. And now for some sweetness:
How did you and your fiancé meet?
We met at college. We were on the same floor of the same dorm freshman year. We started talking and hanging out more over the years. We just clicked.
What's your proposal story?
Emylee proposed to me on top of Mount Zion in Utah. We almost died getting up and down the mountain, but it was breathtaking!
What’s your favorite thing about each other?
Emylee loves that I’m passionate and dedicated. I (Kali) love that she’s selfless and loyal.
What are each of your favorite activities or hobbies?
Emylee loves to fish, watch football and play with the dogs. I (Kali) love sleeping, watching movies, and taking walks.
What do you want to remember about this stage in your life and you two as a couple right now?
How much fun we are having. We never want to lose that.
What are you most looking forward to on your wedding day?
Just the experience. Seeing each other for the first time, putting the rings on, dancing, celebrating with friends and family.
